Based in Bristol you will be joining a small team and will be embedded with our customer team on site. You will be partnering with our customer and interacting with our wider safety team. In this varied role, a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer will have an opportunity to work in a high tempo environment directly supporting the submarine flotilla.

Your needs are as unique as you are. What you will be doing

As a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer, you will be supporting site MoD safety campaigns relating to submarine platform safety delivery.

  • Partnering and collaborating with the MoD customer to ensure submarine platform safety programme milestones are met to time, cost and quality.
  • Representing the MoD customer in all respects at key stakeholder meetings.
  • Supporting the making of key decisions that will impact the platform safety case programme.

Responsible for chasing responses to and closing out actions raised against platform safety projects.

Who we’re looking for:

The Safety Case Engineer will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience writing and supporting Safety Cases
  • Ability to gain a thorough understanding of the relationship between reactor plant and submarine platform safety
  • Experience working with customers or suppliers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work unsupervised, and confidently represent the customer in stakeholder meetings
  • Qualification to Bachelors Degree Level in an associated Engineering discipline

Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
